Better Breakfast Challenge: Day 5/5!

Woohoo! Last day of the challenge! Hope you all enjoy either doing or reading this; I know I did. I’m definitely hoping to have another sort of “challenge” in the future.

BBC Day 5

Mango Chobani greek yogurt and a gluten-free almond crunch granola bar

I actually havent eaten the granola bar yet…I’m feeling a little sick to my stomach (I am NOT the biggest fan of plane rides) but will be bringing it will me because I know I need the protein.

Well, I’m off to catch a plane! Have a splendid weekend and I will see you in a week. :)

Missed the challenge? No worries, catch up right here:

Better Breakfast Challenge: Day 4/5

So, I have really enjoyed this breakfast/workout challenge. It’s just what I needed to get me back into my groove :)

Last night I spent the night with my sister at her brand-new downtown apartment where we enjoy a gluten-free dinner, Soul Surfer and….a great breakfast to go along with my challenge!

BBC Day 4

2 slices gluten-free french toast (on Udi’s GF bread) plus a side of un-pictured eggs

Can anyone else not believe that summer is almost over? I have 3 weeks till school starts and am dreading dreading dreading it.

On the bright side though, I am ending my summer with a great adventure in Colorado with my cowgirl sister!! I leave tomorrow morning and am beyond excited. (So if you don’t see a post tomorrow, you know what happened. I will eat a creative breakfast but as for the workout…I’m going to count running from one airport gate to the other to catch my next flight as my final workout of the challenge.)

Happy Thursday!

Better Breakfast Challenge: Day 3/5

We are half way done!! Today’s post is going to be super short because I have soooo much to do. So, lets get to it!

BBC Day 3:

PB and strawberry jelly sandwich with a big chunk ‘o watermelon

Breakfast was light and late today as I got home super late last night from my friends annual “Dress Up Dinner” and I had so much pasta, bread, and cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory that I was still full this morning!

Off to tackle my to-do list!

Have you ever been to the Cheesecake Factory??

This was my first time and it. was. so. good. I got the 30th Anniversary Chocolate Cheesecake and it was amazing. I think next time I go back I will just eat a light dinner before and just splurge on cheesecake. :)

Better Breakfast Challenge: Day 2/5

(Go here to read day one of the Better Breakfast Challenge)

Hey friends! How was your breakfast this morning?? After possibly losing sleep last night thinking about what I should make for breakfast today, I created this beauty.

BBC Day 2:

1/2 cup Greek yogurt (sweetened with half a pack of truvia…I’m still developing a taste for plain yogurt), grapes, cantaloupe, and Love Grown granola

It’s the 32nd day here IN A ROW that it has been over 100 degrees. Thank you, Texas. I think swimming will be my exercise for today.

Better Breakfast Challenge: Day 1/5

My food choices as of lately have been any but food blog worthy. Eating out way to much, pizza munchies at 10:00pm, dessert after every meal….blah blah blah. Plus, breakfast has been the same exact thing for who knows how long. So in order to get myself back on track, I am challenging myself to a breakfast challenge.

I leave in 5 days to visit my crazy cowgirl sister for a week, so in the next five days, I am forcing myself to have a different breakfast each morning. Hopefully, starting out my day with a better breakfast will help me make better decisions the rest of the day. Don’t worry, I’m still going to enjoy my treat (or two) a day. But the rest of my meals are going to be much more healthy and thought out than they have been lately.

BBC Day 1:

One cup Cascadian Farm Oats and Honey Granola with one cup skim milk and cantaloupe.

So, not extremely creative but I thought of this challenge after I ate this so give me a break on this one. :)

What the heck, I’m going to throw in a workout challenge too since I don’t even remember the last time I graced the gym with my presence. 5 days, 5 work outs.

So there you have it….5 days, 5 new breakfast & 5 workouts.

Help me out here!! Got any good breakfast recipes or good motivation tips??

Also, I challenge you, if your breakfasts or workouts are lacking, to tackle this challenge with me! If you decide to, leave me a comment!
