Fall Moments

Today, I attempted to create Cait style pancakes.

I think they turned out pretty good, if I may say so myself :)

However, my pictures are still lacking compared to Cait’s! Guess that’s what you get with a $100 camera and a photographer with no experience.

YUM. Cait sure knows how to start the morning off great!

I didn’t have strawberries or peaches which would have made it even better. I used 2 Van’s Gluten Free Organic waffles, grapes, vanilla Chobani yogurt, and lots of pure maple syrup.

These gave me just enough fuel to go on a lovely fall walk. Gahhhh, I LOVE fall.

The sight of the trees and leaves.

The smell of the clean, crisp air.

And the feel of the cool and refreshing wind.

Sigh.

Why can’t fall last as long as Texas summers?

Happy Saturday, make it a refreshing one!

Better Breakfast Challenge: Day 5/5!

Woohoo! Last day of the challenge! Hope you all enjoy either doing or reading this; I know I did. I’m definitely hoping to have another sort of “challenge” in the future.

BBC Day 5

Mango Chobani greek yogurt and a gluten-free almond crunch granola bar

I actually havent eaten the granola bar yet…I’m feeling a little sick to my stomach (I am NOT the biggest fan of plane rides) but will be bringing it will me because I know I need the protein.

Well, I’m off to catch a plane! Have a splendid weekend and I will see you in a week. :)

Missed the challenge? No worries, catch up right here:

I Know Her!

I was at Barns and Noble the other day with a friend and I saw this book and freaked out, “I know her!!!!”  “Really??” she asked. “Ok so well uh, I read her blog, so technically I know her…right??” “Surrrre Nicole, you keep thinking that.” Anyways, nevertheless….

I really really want to read this book

Ok and this one….I’m selfish

And since I ate nothing creative today (just lots of ice cream and cupcakes) I’m going to leave you with some good posts to read from fellow food bloggers:

  • This clam pizza sounds/looks amazing, and I don’t even like clams.
  • These Chocolate Espresso Energy Bites sound like the perfect pick-me-up that I’ve needed all. day.
  • These 3 breakfast ideas sound delicious. I need to bite the bullet and try cottage cheese sooner rather than later.
  • I LOVE Cait’s new blogging space. I’m quite envious, maybe you would actually get normal posts from me if I had and awesome space to work at ;)

So tell me, what is the best pick-me-up trick you know?

I’m thinking 3 bowls of ice cream may not be the best choice….just a hunch.
